  • How can I get to my appointment

    My counselling room is in Wood Lane (ST7 8PQ), which is easily accessible from anywhere in the Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Crewe or Nantwich area via either the A500 or A34. Ask me for further details. Many of my clients drive, but there is a bus: First Bus, Route 4. Plus some of my clients do use Taxis: the postcode is ST78PQ. 34 Wesley Street, Wood Lane, near Audley. Here are directions to get to us by car.

  • Where can I park?

    Please park on our driveway – there is space in front of the house. When parking, waiting and leaving, please do consider our lovely patient neighbours. Please be considerate where you park, and please keep noise levels down, so as to disturb them as little as possible.

  • Is there a waiting room?

    Unfortunately we do not have a reception or waiting room, so I do ask that clients be mindful of other clients’ privacy and try to avoid arriving too early as I will be unable to answer the door. (Also, please be aware that I will need to end your session on time, in order to allow a privacy gap before the next client).

  • Is it Okay to bring someone with me?

    It is your counselling session, so you may of course bring someone with you. I have clients whose companions choose to come into the session or wait in the car. Unfortunately we do not have a reception or waiting room. Your companion can wait in their car, or there are some nearby café’s and/or pubs in Audley or the surrounding areas.

    You will need to be very careful about your choice of companion if you wish for them to actually come and sit in for the duration as obviously some very personal issues may be discussed.

  • Is there a toilet?

    There is a toilet. It is a family toilet but clients and companions may use the facilities if necessary.

  • Are there stairs or a lift?

    My practice is on ground floor level. You can of course park on our drive. You will then enter our house through the (standard sized) front door and the counselling room is on the left. If you need any further details please get in touch. I’ll do my best to accommodate you.

  • Is the room hot or cold?

    I do my best to keep the room at an ambient temperature of approximately 22ºC, but I do have blankets available if this is too cold for you. Clients’ personal temperatures can vary according to what we are discussing. If ever you are uncomfortable please do say and I will do my best to accommodate you.

  • Are there windows?

    Yes there are windows, but I tend to keep them closed to help with privacy and soundproofing. But if you would like it opening please do ask. The windows have roller blinds or curtains again to ensure client privacy but once again should you wish for these to be opened please do say so.

  • Is there water available?

    Please bring your own water, due to COVID-19 risks.

  • Are there tissues available?

    Please bring your own water, due to COVID-19 risks.

  • What are the seating arrangements?

    I have a sofa and two arm chairs. Please let me know if you have any specific needs and requirements seating wise, and I will do my best to assist you.

  • How much will my session be?

    I make every effort to keep my session prices accessible. Currently, sessions cost £40 for one hour.

  • When do I pay, do I need cash with me?

    Payment is by cash, VISA/MasterCard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Barclays PingIt app or Paym. Many clients pay at the start of the session but its up to you.

  • How long will my appointment be?

    Appointments are one hour.

  • Is my session 100% confidential?

    Please read our Counselling Agreement, which covers confidentiality, and we will work through this together in your session.
